Weddings at The End Hemmel

The End Hemmel is a real Northumbrian rustic barn venue, offering a unique combination of rural, rustic charm & contemporary touches.

Set at the heart of our family farm, at the home of farmhouse brewery: Rigg & Furrow, on our family farm.

We are the perfect space for couples looking for a relaxed celebration, somewhere that’s a little bit different.

The End Hemmel’s farming past shines throughout the venue, with original features remaining including exposed red bricks, an original trough running the length of the barn and wooden panelling.

This welcoming space is the perfect venue for those looking for a combination of rural romantic chic and cool, contemporary touches, all overlooking the beautiful Northumbrian Countryside.

The End Hemmel has everything you could need. There’s space for up to 200 of your nearest & dearest. With loads of space for your ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception, set with rustic tables & chairs.

Alongside a stage for your band or DJ of choice and plenty of space to dance the night away.

And for those with tired feet and in need of a cosy area to rest and relax, there is a comfy seating area to enjoy.

You will have your own dedicated outside area with views across the fields & fire pits to keep you warm as the sun starts to set. Or it’s the perfect for an outdoor ceremony, set with hay bales and benches and maybe Aggie our highland cow might make an appearance.

Plus, our couples can enjoy exclusive access to the farmland and beautiful surrounding countryside for your photographs.

The Details:

  • Our wedding packages for 2027 start from £6350. We have two packages to choose from:

    • DIY (without the hard work)

    • The End Hemmel Package

  • Whether you want a formal Wedding Breakfast or a more laid back street food pop up; we know how important food is to your special day. That’s why we work with the North East’s best caterers and street food vendors, who are renown for their quality of food and reliability.

    We have a list of our recommended caterers and street food vendors, but if you have one in mind you would like that’s absolutely fine too.

    • 150 person ceremony capacity

    • 150 person dining / seated capacity

    • 200 person total capacity (including evening guests)

  • We’re going to take a guess you are beer lovers as much as we are? That’s probably what’s lead you to considering getting married at the The End Hemmel, the home of Rigg & Furrow Farmhouse Brewery.

    Throughout your wedding day will have access to a fully stocked & staffed bar with a selection of our favourite Rigg & Furrow beers on tap.

    Alongside delicious hand selected organic wines, cider, local spirts and of course soft drinks.

    Drinks packages are available, alongside the possibility of having an outdoor bar. Speak to Pippa our Wedding Coordinator to discuss your options.

We’re throwing open the barn doors on the following dates:

Register now for the August date. Simply fill out the form, and on arrival you’ll receive a complimentary drink.
