Set on our family farm in the heart of the beautiful Northumbrian countryside, the barn is full of character and its farming past shines throughout. Original red brick, wooden panelling and the old trough running the length of the barn sit alongside contemporary touches, and lots of light, creating a space that feels rustic, relaxed and effortlessly cool.

So whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony or a big celebration with all your favourite people, The End Hemmel is yours to make your own.

A Barn Made For Celebrating

With space for up to 150 guests, there’s plenty of room for everything your wedding day needs — from saying “I do” and sitting down for your wedding breakfast, to raising a glass and dancing into the night.

The barn is set with rustic tables and chairs, while our stage is ready for your band or DJ. Once the music starts, there’s plenty of space to properly let loose.

And when you need a moment away from the dancefloor, our cosy seating area is the perfect place to put your feet up, catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet drink.

Your Own Outside Space

Step outside the barn and you’ll have your own private area overlooking the fields, with fire pits to keep you warm as the sun goes down.

Fancy an outdoor ceremony? Our outside space can be transformed with hay bales and benches, creating a relaxed countryside setting for your “I do”.

And if you’re lucky, you might even get a visit from Aggie, our Highland cow. She’s not guaranteed to make an appearance, but she does like to keep an eye on what’s going on!

Food & Drink

You have complete freedom to choose whatever style food you would like for your big day, whether you want a formal Wedding Breakfast served to your table or a more laid back street food pop up. We know how important food is to your special day, that’s why give you the choice to book whoever you like. We can recommend some farm favourites, who are renown for their quality of food and reliability.

And then there’s the beer:

Our award-winning brewery, Rigg & Furrow, is right here on the farm, so you can enjoy farm fresh beers as part of your wedding day. From a welcome beer to a selection of beers on tap, there’s something pretty special about enjoying a beer brewed just a stone’s throw from where you’re celebrating.

Not a beer drinker? No problem. We have plenty of other options available, from organic wines & local spirits, soft drinks and all the essentials.

One of the best things about getting married at The End Hemmel? You get exclusive access to the surrounding farmland and countryside for your wedding photographs.
