Weddings at The End Hemmel

The End Hemmel is a real Northumbrian rustic barn venue, offering a unique combination of rural, rustic charm & unique contemporary touches.

We are the perfect space for couples looking for a relaxed celebration, somewhere that’s a little bit different.

The End Hemmel’s farming past shines throughout the venue, with original features remaining including exposed red bricks, an original trough running the length of the barn and wooden panelling. Large windows flood the room with natural light, alongside simple floral decorations and colourful lanterns. This welcoming space is the perfect venue for those looking for a combination of rural romantic chic and cool, contemporary touches all overlooking the beautiful Northumbrian Countryside.

The End Hemmel has everything you could need, with space for up to 200 of your nearest & dearest. There’s loads of space for your ceremony, wedding breakfast & reception, set with rustic tables & chairs.

There is also a stage for your band or DJ of choice, with plenty of space to dance the night away. For those with tired feet and in need of a cosy area to rest and relax, there is a comfy seating area to enjoy.

You will have your own dedicated outside area with views across the fields & fire pits to keep you warm as the sun starts to set.

Plus couples can enjoy exclusive access to the farmland and beautiful surrounding countryside for your photographs.

Outdoor Ceremonies are also possible (Northumbrian weather permitting of course)!

  • The End Hemmel is set at the heart of our working family farm.

    We’ve given a new lease of life to the old cow shed & dairy to create a beautiful rustic, romantic and chic wedding venue in the heart of the Northumberland countryside.

    Get married with views overlooking the rolling farmland, enjoy your first drink as a married couple in the paddock, where our herd of cows might pop by.

    Plus couples can enjoy exclusive access to the farmland and beautiful surrounding countryside for your photographs, which really make for a unique backdrop.

  • We are delighted to be working with Kooked North as our wedding caterer.

    Laura and her team will work with you to create a bespoke, innovative and delicious menu for you and your guests to enjoy.

  • We’re going to take a guess you are beer lovers as much as we are? That’s probably what’s lead you to considering getting married at the The End Hemmel, the home of Rigg & Furrow Farmhouse Brewery.

    Throughout your wedding day will have access to a fully stocked & staffed bar with a selection of our favourite Rigg & Furrow beers on tap.

    Alongside delicious hand selected organic wines, cider, local spirts and of course soft drinks.

    Welcome Drinks & Drinks packages are available, alongside the possibility of having an outdoor bar. Speak to Pippa our Wedding Coordinator to discuss your options.

  • Included in your wedding package is:

    • Exclusive hire of our event space from Midday to Midnight.

    • Your own dedicated Wedding Coordinator. Pippa will look after you from the planning stages to the very end of the night.

    • The venue will be set-up with simple, rustic flower arrangements & greenery, decorating the venue and your tables.

    • And if you wish you can hire in your own wedding stylists & florists to create a specific look or theme in the space.

    • Seating for 150 with space for an extra 50 evening guests.
