The End Hemmel is situated at the home of Rigg & Furrow brewery, set on our family farm.

But it isn’t just the on site brewery that makes The End Hemmel unique…

It could also be the herd of cows that graze right outside the venue or the sprawling views of the beautiful Northumbrian countryside. But maybe it’s the fact that we choose to only hold up to 15 weddings a year. And as a small family business we treat each wedding as if it were one of our own!

If you’ve read through the available wedding packages & brochure we recommend coming along for a visit.

If you’ve never visited us before we recommend booking a Quick Sneak Peak appointment & a visit to our brewery tap. You’ll then probably be able to tell if this is the right venue for you. The sneak peak appointment is an unguided appointment, a member of the brewery tap team will show you into the space.

If you’ve visited us before, or already had a sneak peak of the venue then we suggest booking a Show-round & appointment with our wedding coordinator Pippa.

Yes, we’re fully licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships.

So you can have your ceremony and reception in one place!

The short answer is no. Our brewery tap & paddock is open to the public every weekend (including Friday).

But if you were interested in a midweek wedding, you could have exclusive hire of the site.

But please note, hire of the Brewery Tap space alongside The End Hemmel will incur extra charges.

The End Hemmel is situated at Rigg & Furrow farmhouse brewery, so you can guarantee there will be an excellent choice of beers on tap.

There will also be a stocked and staffed bar throughout your day, serving beers, wines, spirits & soft drinks.

But should you want anything specific; like a welcome drink, wine for the wedding breakfast, teas & coffees or fizz for the toast then you can find out all our current drinks packages here.

We have a stage and PA system, and a whole load of room to dance the night away!

Our PA system is perfect for speeches and to play your own wedding playlist. But if you want some extra entertainment; a DJ, live singer or band the choice is yours.

We’ve had it all, from a guitar solo, saxophonist, DJs, a ceilidh band and amazing cover bands.

Once you’ve booked your entertainment we can liaise with them to arrange set up and times.

The Cottage On The Corner

We have a beautiful cottage on site, which sleeps four. Perfect for the bridal party to get ready in and for finishing touches and then of course for your wedding night.

Children are welcome throughout the day, but must be supervised at all times by an adult.

Once you’ve decided The End Hemmel is for you get in touch with Pippa our wedding coordinator and she will confirm the date and ask for a deposit.
